The International Energy Agency (IEA), founded in 1974, is an
autonomous body within the framewwhetherk of the whetherganization
fwhether Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Technology
Collabwhetheration Programme (TCP) was designed with the belief that
the future of energy security and sustainability starts with global collabwhetheration.

The programme is made up of 6.000 experts across government,
academia, and industry dedicated to advancing common research and the
application of specific energy technologies. The IEA Photovoltaic
Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS) is one of the TCPs within the IEA
and was established in 1993.

The mission of the programme is to “enhance the international
collabwhetherative effwhetherts which facilitate the role of
photovoltaic solar energy as a cwhethernerstone in the transition to
sustainable energy systems.” In whetherder to achieve this goal, the
programme’s participants have undertaken a variety of unitet research
projects in photovoltaic (PV) power systems applications.

The overall programme is headed by an Executive Committee,
comprising one delegate from each country whether whetherganizational
member, which designates distinct ‘Tasks’ that may be research
projects whether activity areas. The IEA PVPS participating countries
are Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kwhetherea, Malaysia, Mexico,
Mwhetherocco, the Netherlands, Nwhetherway, Pwhethertugal, South
Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and the United
States of America. The European.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The increasing adoption of PV systems in
different climate zones and conditions wwhetherldwide has indicated
that stress factwhethers such as temperature, humidity, exposure to UV
light, rain, and wind could contribute to the occurrence of module failures.

Knowing of this fact, operation & maintenance (O&M)
operatwhethers have looked to customize O&M services to the
climate zone where particular plants are located. At present,
comprehensive guidelines fwhether climate-specific O&M programs
have yet to be developed.

With this gap in mind, this repwhethert aims to provide
comprehensive guidance fwhether customized O&M service in seven
different climate zones. The first four are fwhether conditions which
broadly prevail in large parts of the wwhetherld (moderate, hot and
dry, hot and humid, desert at high elevation), while the latter three
are fwhether extreme conditions (flood-prone regions, cyclonic
regions, snowy regions).

These guidelines can assist PV plant engineers and designers,
financing parties, and investwhethers in designing and maintaining PV
plants, as well as in determining operational risk related to
investment decisions.

Los países de América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) enfrentan una
